Job Summary
The Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients, ensuring the safe operation of hyperbaric chambers. Responsibilities include preparing and educating patients, monitoring therapy sessions, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting in vein clinic post-training. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, relevant healthcare certification, and preferred experience in healthcare and wound or critical care. Skills in attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current healthcare professional certification or license in state of practice
- Minimum of Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare preferred
- Prior experience in wound or critical care preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Working knowledge of software applications for wound management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Additional Requirements
- Must maintain healthcare professional certification or license throughout employment
- Completion of Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course may be required as per regulations
