Job Summary
Graduation internship on an electrometer project to measure DC currents up to 1000 A at up to 1500 V for EV charging applications. You’ll join the Metering Product Management Team under Sander van Berloo to develop a prototype electrometer that can measure current and voltage, explore different measurement principles (shunt, current transformer, Hall sensor), test solutions against specifications, and optionally ensure galvanic isolation. You’ll work closely with experienced hardware/software specialists, receive mentorship, and have the opportunity to transition to a permanent role after graduation. Expected tasks include researching measurement principles for large DC currents, evaluating practicality against specs, developing a demo-ready hardware setup, and discussing sensor placement and isolation techniques. The internship offers a monthly gross allowance of €750 based on a 40-hour week, with travel reimbursement if applicable, and is based in Nieuw-Vennep, NL. English language proficiency is required, and on-site collaboration is valued, with Nieuw-Vennep being easily accessible.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in an HBO program in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics or related field (graduation year 2026-2027)
- Knowledge of electronic circuits and PCB design
- Willingness to deepen knowledge of PCB layout, schematic design, EMC and safety
- Availability from September to join the team
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Accurate work style, interest in technical challenges, proactive approach
- Enjoy working on-site in Nieuw-Vennep
