Job Summary
Manage inventory, issues, turn-ins, and receipts for ammunition, rockets, and explosives at the Ammunition Supply Point. Load, unload, stack, and store munitions using forklifts or dollies while maintaining accountability on Magazine Data Cards. Review paperwork for compliance, conduct safety inspections of vehicles, and escort personnel into the facility. Assist with loading and securing outbound shipments, preparing commercial vehicle arrivals for storage, and screening turn-in items. Perform daily maintenance of government equipment and bunker vegetation control. Work both indoors and outdoors with periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, and inclement weather, and lift up to 60 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold
- Either prior knowledge of military ammunition or desire to learn quickly
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks related to the position
- Must be able to obtain forklift license
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- Military Occupational Specialties 55B/89B or 5 years of relevant work experience in ammo storage operations
- Knowledge of Army logistical functions
