Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport hazmat and materials to destinations, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs in compliance with DOT rules, load/unload and secure cargo, inspect and maintain truck equipment, and communicate with supervision. Adapt to varying weather and seasonal demands, travel out of state as needed, and sustain safety, cleanliness, and professional image of Heartland Co-op while meeting production schedules and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with hazmat and tanker endorsements and commercial insurability at all times.
- Valid DOT physical is also required.
