Job Summary
Lead safety in all aspects of emergency response, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials clean-up, site-remediation, and equipment decontamination. Audit incoming and outgoing hazardous materials shipments for compliance and properly containerize waste or reuse products. Perform tasks associated with emergency response, handle hazardous materials, and complete safety documentation while adhering to R+L procedures. Update job notes daily, inform management of issues, and set up live training events to ensure personnel competency. Coach co-workers on unsafe behaviors and participate in specialized projects as required. Physically fit for lifting 75 lbs and capable of working in a high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required
- Physically fit; able to lift 75 lbs.
- Able to thrive in a high-pressure and fast-paced team-supported environment
- Experience operating tools applicable to emergency response activities
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications such as, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proven ability to work in a confidential capacity
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, while being detail oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Work effectively and communicate with team members and other departments
- Inform the management team of issues that arise on jobs in a timely manner
