Hazmat Retail Driver (CDL B)

Job Summary
Operate class B trucks in LTL capacity to pick up retail waste from stores, pharmacies, and industrial sites, sorting customer waste and verifying proper packaging, labeling, and marking before transport. Perform DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain vehicle logs, and document manifests and work orders while utilizing mobile technology to track collection. Ensure compliance with hazardous waste regulations including accurate placarding, load securement, and segregation. Provide customer service through onsite communication and follow-up. Schedule includes Monday through Friday with variable 3-4 overnight shifts weekly; most weekends and holidays are off.
Required Qualifications
- Valid class B commercial driver's license
- MVR that meets Company policy standards
- Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Can self-motivate to achieve daily workload targets
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holidays
- Must be available for overnight shifts
- Must be able to operate class B trucks
- Must be able to sort customer waste
- Must be able to verify that waste is packaged, labeled and marked properly
- Must be able to secure waste for transport
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to maintain an electronic log
- Must be able to document manifests and work orders
- Must be able to comply with government regulations and procedures
- Must be able to understand and utilize company technology
- Must be able to track waste collection, packaging and disposal

- Must be able to assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facility and on grounds
- Must be able to function as technician on lab pack and field service projects
- Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned
