Job Summary
Direct supervision of Field Technicians for emergency spill cleanup, hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, and equipment decontamination. Execute projects within budget and on time while ensuring OSHA, EPA, and H&S compliance. Operate light and heavy equipment, perform strenuous physical labor, and safely handle hazardous materials in various weather conditions. Manage manpower, equipment, and resources with the Coordinator; conduct waste sampling, inspect drums, and complete associated paperwork. Rotate on-call for emergency response every other week. New hires attend two weeks of paid Academy training out of state. Valid driver's license and previous supervisory experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically intensive role
- Previous experience in a supervisory, crew lead or leadership role
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time, overnight
- Ability to be on-call for emergency response
- Valid Driver's license
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
- Meet facial hair standards per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34
Desired Qualifications
- Previous heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc)
- Previous environmental and/or industrial experience (ie. site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery-based work)
