Job Summary
Manage warehouse inventory functions by receiving, stowing, and controlling materials while supporting the hazardous material program. Replenish and issue HAZMAT line items, ensuring proper storage, compatibility, and handling of critical equipment. Fulfill customer service requests, support procurement documentation, and manage disposal procedures in compliance with Navy regulations. Maintain accurate inventory accountability in SWALIS/DPAS systems, research Safety Data Sheets, and conduct storage area inspections. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move items up to 25 pounds in controlled environments. Maintain Secret Security Clearance and five years of DoD warehousing experience to ensure mission readiness and safe handling of hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
- Minimum five (5) years of warehousing and inventory management experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Minimum one (1) year of HAZMAT management experience
- Inventory systems such as SWALIS, Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), or R-Supply
- Material handling, receiving, storage, and distribution operations
- Hazardous material storage, handling, and disposal procedures
- Possession of a forklift operator license
- Completion and ability to maintain HAZMAT training through Environmental Compliance Assessment, Training and Tracking System (ECATTS)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must accurately input and manage data across systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access
- Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and HAZMAT items
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks
- Ability to work in warehouse and HAZMAT-controlled environments
