Hazardous Material Waste Technician

Job Summary
Manage and operate Hazardous Material facilities in accordance with federal, state, and DoD regulations. Conduct waste pickup at Initial Accumulation Points, transport materials to 90-day Accumulation Points, and oversee Industrial Recycling Processes. Provide administration and data entry for the EESOH-MIS database, tracking containers from generation to off-site disposal. Coordinate with transport contractors, prepare containers for shipment, and submit weekly lists for containers exceeding 45-day storage limits. Perform compliance inspections, facility maintenance, and environmental sampling activities. Develop custom reports for environmental requirements and maintain inventory supplies. Complete required training and adhere strictly to all waste regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in hazardous waste management
- Possess a valid Drivers License
- Ability to obtain NACI
- Ability to safely move and load extremely heavy drums and containers, in excess of 400 pounds, with provided material handling equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Military Hazmat/Hazardous Waste experience preferred
- Experience with management of Hazardous Waste in Florida and DoD hazardous waste operations
- A solid understanding of Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Material identification and management is preferred
- EESOH-MIS specific training preferred
