Job Summary
Hausa Linguist role within Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. (YSG) and The Unconventional (TU) for Language Support Services (LSS) across current and potential government contracts. Responsibilities include interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, review/edit of documents, and foreign language instruction in classroom or virtual settings. Open evergreen requisition to support multiple current and future requirements across YSG and TU; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles throughout the portfolio as opportunities arise. Travel may be required; remote/CONUS work supported. Qualifications emphasize ILR proficiency levels (ILR 2+ for CAT I/II; ILR 3+ for CAT III), ability to provide accurate translation/interpreting, and willingness to operate under high-pressure conditions and within a team of professionals. Clearance provisions vary by CAT level.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet Category I/II/III ILR English proficiency levels (ILR 2+ for CAT I/II; ILR 3+ for CAT III)
- Shall have the ability to provide idiomatic translations and accurate consecutive interpretation between English and the foreign language
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students
- Willingness to live and work in harsh environments as mission dictates
- Security clearance as specified: CAT I local nationals/TCN/uncleared U.S. citizens; CAT II U.S. citizens with SECRET; CAT III U.S. citizens with TOP SECRET/SCI access
