Job Summary
Operate a 100-ton off-road haul truck to transport crushed stone from the pit to the primary crusher and move materials between stockpiles and plant areas. Perform pre-shift safety inspections on vehicle systems, report needed repairs, and ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements. Conduct preventative maintenance, maintain good housekeeping, and assist with plant maintenance and other equipment operations as needed. Adhere to MSHA and plant safety rules while communicating with coworkers via CB radio or hand signals. Work 12-hour shifts, including weekends, overtime, and holidays, in all weather conditions. Complete daily reports and pre-shift inspection forms.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- 1+ years of related experience
- previous haul trick driver experience
- Experience with a variety of hand tools
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts

- Must be able to read equipment operating manual
- Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges
- Possess basic mathematical aptitude
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
- Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
- Must be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be able to operate hand/foot controls
- Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
- Must be able to climb on and off equipment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space
- Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 90 dbs
- Must be able to work at various heights
- Must attend New Hire Orientation and Safety Training in person at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas
- Must be able to travel to Dallas, Texas for training (mileage and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed for individuals whose commute exceeds 50 miles)
