Job Summary
Operate haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry while adhering to company guidelines and safety standards. Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment, report needed repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance and services on mobile equipment. Assist in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles, and safely operate pit and yard loaders as needed. Aid in the training of co-workers and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck. Work a 6:45 AM to 4:30 PM shift in Blue Ridge, VA, earning between $23.90 and $27.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment
- experience in the maintenance and operation of equipment used processing plants
Desired Qualifications
- six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver
