Job Summary
Safely load and unload heavy machinery at the ASCO yard and customer locations, securing all loads with ratchet straps, chains, binders, and winch equipment. Coordinate with dispatchers and customers to verify delivery and pickup locations while utilizing safe driving techniques and effective time management. Legibly complete equipment inspection reports and maintain daily records of pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log books. This role requires a Class A CDL, valid medical card, and DOT knowledge to manage hours of service. Candidates must possess the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in hot or cold environments, and maintain the haul truck and trailer. ASCO Equipment offers paid training, employer-paid health insurance, and a profit-sharing 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- Valid Medical Card
- Certification on Aerial and Forklift handling/operation
- Full DOT knowledge
- Clean driving record
- Ability to maintain and service haul truck and trailer
- DOT knowledge of legal limits
- Must be able to continually lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs
- Must pass DOT physical
- Ability to maneuver around and crawl under equipment
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk
