Job Summary
Responsibilities include picking up and delivering forklifts and other material handling equipment, maneuvering the truck for loading and unloading, securing cargo, and complying with driving rules and regulations. Adherence to safety measures is crucial, and duties may also include backing up receiving docks as needed. Knowledge of DOT regulations and a high school diploma or equivalent are required, along with proven truck driving experience and a valid Class A CDL.
Required Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Ability to adapt to unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Able to pass background check, drug screen, and employment recommendations
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Ability to read, write and understand English, and perform simple mathematical calculations
- Must meet medical standards of the US Department of Transportation
- Must pass any physical testing requirements
