Job Summary
Handle and set eggs in incubators according to established procedures, monitoring temperature, humidity, and ventilation to ensure optimal hatching results. Assist with chick hatching and transfer while performing quality checks on eggs and chicks to maintain health and biosecurity standards. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, record accurate data on egg counts and hatch rates, and support chick vaccination and transport preparation. This role requires lifting up to 50lbs and pushing 450 lb. buggies in high-temperature environments (100+°F) with weekend work. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Poultry or food industry experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more
- Ability to push/pull 450 lb. buggies (on wheels) of chicks and eggs
- Work in high-temperature environments (100+°F)
- Tolerate odors
- Handle repetitive lifting/pushing of 100 lbs or more with continuous physical activity
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must not raise any poultry or birds
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend work
- Must pass drug, alcohol, and background checks
- Must provide verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work
