Job Summary
Maximize gross margins, promote sales, and control inventory by developing and implementing creative merchandising plans. Assist the Delicatessen Manager in supervising associates, ensuring efficient labor utilization, and conducting quality assurance checks on product rotation and safety. Manage receiving, invoicing, and pricing while training associates in engagement, education, and empowerment. Deliver superior guest service and model safety policies in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Food Handler's Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates
- Ability to work with Supermarket math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication), percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and Sales Per Associate Hour
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to distinguish colors
