Job Summary
Provide seasonal harvest assistance in the feed mill's general labor areas, receiving and processing goods while operating the mill. Work flexible days, afternoons, and weekend shifts as needed between September and November. Observe and enforce all personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies while recognizing and acting on safety risks. Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies. Maintain a positive atmosphere by communicating effectively with coworkers, clients, and leadership. Stand and use hands for 8-11 hours daily while working in varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to work in the elements, temperatures will vary
- Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
- Ability to multitask and work quickly
- Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations
- Must have good communication skills
- Good hand and eye coordination required
- Must be available for days, afternoons and weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Intermediate Analytical skills preferred
- Basic computer skills or strong willingness to learn preferred
- Desire for continuous improvement preferred
