Job Summary
Provide general labor assistance in the feed mill, receiving and processing goods while operating the mill. Support current staff across open days, afternoons, and weekend shifts as directed. Observe and enforce company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies while recognizing and acting on incidents and risks. Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methodologies. Work in varying temperatures, standing and using hands for 8-11 hours daily while multitasking. Maintain a positive atmosphere by communicating effectively with coworkers and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to work in the elements, temperatures will vary
- Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
- Ability to multitask and work quickly
- Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
- Must have good communication skills
- Good hand and eye coordination required
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Intermediate Analytical skills
- Basic computer skills or strong willingness to learn
- Desire for continuous improvement
- Must be available for days, afternoons and weekend shifts if needed
- Must observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies
- Must recognize and act on incidents and safety risks
- Must consistently practice, and enforce safe work habits and drive those habits throughout the organization
- Must follow all company animal welfare guidelines
- Must receive in, process goods, while Operating Mill
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- Intermediate Analytical skills preferred
- Basic computer skills or strong willingness to learn preferred
