Job Summary
Oversee daily restaurant operations, manage team members, and ensure quality standards meet guest expectations. Handle guest concerns, review staffing levels, and maintain service and sanitation standards. Assist servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods, participate in daily rehearsal meetings, and conduct performance appraisals. Review staffing levels to ensure financial objectives are met and assist in producing payroll, reports, and inventory forecasts. Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa standards. Strive to improve restaurant performance and maximize financial results.
Required Qualifications
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role in a food and beverage environment
- Proven track record in high volume restaurant environment
- Strong food/wine and liquor knowledge
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer knowledge (Micros or other POS Systems)
- ServSafe & TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certificate
- Ability to communicate in the English language
- Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data
- Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends
- Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend throughout shift
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
