Job Summary
Harness Design Engineer Intern (Fall 2026). Internships at Astranis are twelve-week hourly roles for students enrolled at a four-year university. You will work with the harnessing design team to design flight/test harnessing, create wiring diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings of spacecraft harnessing, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between subsystems, and route harnessing in 3D CAD. Use EE fundamentals to select components, and work with production to fabricate in-house cables. Base pay is $29/hour. Location: San Francisco, CA. Eligibility includes pursuing a degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering; U.S. citizenship or equivalent status is required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in mechatronics or electrical engineering (or equivalent technical degree)
- Interest in learning about, designing, and working with various spacecraft systems and subsystems
- Familiar with power and data transmission concepts
