Job Summary
Conduct daily neighborhood rounds, lead morning huddles, and organize three to four high-quality programs per day. Supervise and direct Harmony Square team members including Life Enrichment Assistants and PCAs/CNAs while coordinating with the Healthcare Director on care plans and dining services. Develop and implement monthly resident programs based on wellness dimensions and person-centered interests, planning weekly outings and supporting Alzheimer's support group meetings. Partner with the clinical team to assess resident needs, update care conditions, and initiate interventions as necessary. Maintain Behavior Expression processes, complete state-required training, and utilize the company vehicle for duties. Effectively communicate with resident families and establish positive relationships across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Three to five years' experience working with individuals with Dementia
- Experience supervising and managing staff
- Must possess critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities for seniors with Dementia
- Experience with Behavior Expressions redirection and interventions
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must maintain applicable state requirements of dementia specific training
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent educations and/or experience
- Areas of Study: Recreation, activities, geriatrics, and dementia care
- Special Certificates: Dementia training or Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred or eligible for certification
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for working with individuals with dementia
