Hardware Validation Engineer

Job Summary
Lead end-to-end bring-up and system validation for diverse server platforms, ensuring robust reliability before customer deployment. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, and Linux layers to isolate complex failures and deliver actionable engineering recommendations. Design and maintain custom shell scripts and diagnostic tools to streamline testing processes and accelerate issue resolution. Collaborate directly with internal hardware, firmware, software, and external customer teams to resolve technical roadblocks and elevate platform performance. This role sits within the Hyperscale Line of Business Hardware team, driving system stability and readiness for next-generation infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Practical experience in server validation, system bring-up, lab engineering, or hardware testing environments
- Hands-on command of Linux environments—including installation, system configuration, command-line usage, and failure diagnosis using standard tools
- A structured approach to debugging unfamiliar system behaviors across hardware, OS, and firmware interfaces
- Practical skill in writing and using Bash, Python, or other shell scripts to automate diagnostics and workflow tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to document complex diagnostic findings and partner effectively across global engineering teams

- Systems & Validation Expertise: Practical experience in server validation, system bring-up, lab engineering, or hardware testing environments is a plus
