Job Summary
Install, configure, and repair servers, switches, routers, and firewalls while diagnosing component-level failures and managing physical infrastructure including cabling and racks. Replace hardware such as hard drives and power supplies, perform preventive maintenance, and track serial numbers and IT asset inventory. Coordinate repairs, replacements, and vendor service calls while documenting configurations and troubleshooting activities. Lead reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis and obsolescence planning to ensure mission readiness. Requires U.S. citizenship and security clearance, with a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of hardware sustainment experience. 15% travel to Columbia, MD.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 6+ years of progressive systems, and component-level hardware repair, or sustainment engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading sustainment engineering for fielded hardware or hardware/software integrated systems.
- Experience with reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) analysis and lifecycle sustainment.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, switches, and network equipment.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing hardware failures at the component level.
- Experience with obsolescence management and DMSMS mitigation.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action for fielded systems.
- Experience with engineering change management, spares planning, and repair workflows.
- Strong customer-facing communication, and documentation skills.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday to support delivery order fulfillment.
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Onsite (5 days)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) programs.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or equivalent hardware certification.
- Experience sustaining deployable or tactical edge computing platforms.
- Experience with lifecycle cost analysis and sustainment metrics reporting.
- Experience with technology refresh and modernization planning for fielded DoD systems.
- Familiarity with configuration management, technical data packages, and BOM-driven sustainment
