Job Summary
Hardware Technician at GrayMatter Robotics, onsite in Carson, CA, responsible for assembling hardware components, conducting testing to design specs, executing experiments, documenting assembly and test procedures, testing PLC cabinets, configuring and upgrading PLC systems, occasional field installations, maintaining and troubleshooting 3D printers for prototyping and production, and providing training and technical support to personnel. Collaborates with cross-functional engineers to ensure integration with overall system design and to capture customer requirements and feedback to drive product improvements. Requires effective communication, ability to work with customers on site, and willingness to travel up to 30%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience
- 1-3 years hands-on hardware/software skills
- experience with manufacturing automation or similar field
- Willing to travel up to 30% of the time
- U.S. work authorization at hire and ongoing
