Job Summary
Develop and configure common solutions for U.S. Navy surface ship infrastructure, testing and troubleshooting computing hardware in lab or customer environments. Create documentation to support rigorous engineering processes while collaborating daily with an agile team to solve complex problems. Read engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and rack layouts; develop schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer. Manage requirements and system modeling tools to ensure stable, secure, and flexible infrastructure delivery. This role supports the Pittsfield, MA team within General Dynamics Mission Systems, offering a 9/80 flexible schedule with every other Friday off.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- 6 months of relevant experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring schematics, parts lists or rack layouts
- Troubleshooting computing hardware issues in a lab or customer site
