Job Summary
Develop and configure common solutions to complex problems for U.S. Navy surface ships, test and troubleshoot in a lab environment, and create documentation to support a rigorous engineering process. Collaborate with an agile team daily to problem solve and ensure mission commitments are met. Apply systems engineering concepts, read engineering drawings and wiring schematics, and develop schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer to deliver robust, flexible, and secure infrastructure. This role offers a 9/80 flexible schedule with every other Friday off, located in Pittsfield, MA (hybrid with minimum 3 days on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree
- 6 months of relevant experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Workplace Options: This position is fully on-site or hybrid/flex with a minimum of 3 days/week in office
- While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield, MA team
Desired Qualifications
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring schematics, parts lists or rack layouts
- Troubleshooting computing hardware issues in a lab or customer site
- Developing schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
- Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
