Job Summary
Lead daily department execution by coaching team members on customer engagement, merchandising standards, and inventory accuracy. Manage planogram execution, promotional sets, and product presentation across hardware and housewares while ensuring safety compliance and reducing shrink. Support the Department Manager with task delegation, quick huddles, and associate training to drive sales and productivity. Maintain accurate stock levels through bin checks and replenishment routines. Full-time role with flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends; peak periods require additional availability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in retail sales/operations
- prior leadership, keyholder, trainer, or acting supervisor experience
- Working knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) Hardware & Housewares products and department routines
- Comfortable using retail technology (RF/handheld, inventory/look-up tools, basic computer systems)
- Standing/walking for extended periods (up to an 8-hour shift)
- Lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling merchandise (light to heavy), including reaching above shoulder level and using ladders as needed
- Full-time with flexibility required (days, evenings, weekends)
- Peak periods may require additional availability

- Cash handling / register experience
- Work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
- Work experience in a Canadian Tire store
