Job Summary
Assist customers in person and by phone by answering questions, helping them locate merchandise, suggesting add-ons, and processing special orders. Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor through housekeeping tasks, restocking shelves, and merchandising products per planograms. Notify clients of promotions and new products, while cutting keys and loading items into vehicles as needed. Take regular inventory, face and front products throughout the shift, and identify shoplifting per store policy. Attend staff meetings and adhere to all safety standards. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude
- A working knowledge of the products contained in the store with a willingness to continue to learn
- Organized, self-starter who thinks independently and solves problems
- Knowledge of effective sales methods and techniques
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems in order to assist with price lookup, special orders, and order entry
- Knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
- Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
