Job Summary
Accurately machine wood and hollow metal doors for commercial hardware, including hinges, locks, latches, and vision kits. Read shop drawings, templates, and hardware schedules to ensure precise installation. Operate woodworking and metalworking tools while performing routine maintenance. Collaborate with team members and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment following OSHA requirements and proper lifting procedures. Lift and carry building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds using correct techniques. Requires 1–2 years of commercial door installation experience, proficiency with tools, and knowledge of ANSI/BHMA standards. Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years minimum experience in commercial door and hardware installation
- Solid knowledge of commercial doors (wood and hollow metal) and their associated hardware
- Proficient in using woodworking and metalworking tools and machines
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as hardware schedules and templates
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of ANSI/BHMA standards
- Experience with fire-rated door labeling or door/frame fabrication
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds
- Must be able to lift greater weights occasionally
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
