Job Summary
Hardware Engineering Technical Leader at Cisco leading the LE/SMB switches team. Responsible for architecting system block diagrams with major Networking ASIC suppliers, designing networking switches, reviewing schematics and layouts, system bring-up, troubleshooting, design validation, and build-yield bring-up with ODM/JDM partners. Collaborates with product management and software platform teams to define next-generation products, and works with cross-functional teams (ID/ME/Compliance/SCM) through NPI phases to bring products to market. Performs triage and root-cause analysis during sustaining, and participates in process improvements and innovations. Requires strong English communication and 9+ years in hardware design for networking equipment; prior experience with multi-gig Ethernet and PoE; familiarity with production enablement and cross-team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 9+ years of Networking equipment hardware system design experience
- Experience with multi-gigabit Ethernet and PoE
- Experience with schematics/layout, hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, system level testing
- Experience with software platform team on system bring-up and porting, devices configuration (registers level)
