Job Summary
Lead and mentor hardware engineers in DC power supply development for advanced test systems, balancing leadership with hands-on technical contributions as a player-coach. Drive architecture, design, prototyping, validation, and cross-functional collaboration across firmware, software, mechanical, systems, operations, and manufacturing engineering to deliver reliable, efficient, and manufacturable DC power instrument solutions. Oversee hardware development projects from concept to production, guide schematic design and PCB implementation, and ensure design decisions meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards while fostering a high-performance team culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on experience in hardware engineering with DC power supply or power electronics design
- 2+ years in a managerial role with hands-on contribution and team management
- Strong people and team management skills with experience managing 6+ staff members
- Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, analog/power circuit design, control loops, and power conversion principles
- Experience with lab debugging and validation tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, power analyzers)
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to power hardware design, validation, safety, and quality assurance
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
