Job Summary
Senior Power Electronics Engineer leading end-to-end power electronics design for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), robotics, and industrial automation systems. You will own system architectures, specify and design power electronics, perform system-level and circuit simulations (SPICE, MATLAB), ensure EMC/regulatory compliance, develop test plans, debug and validate designs at system and component levels, lead root-cause analysis, drive new technology development, mentor junior engineers, and produce design/validation documentation. The role requires collaboration with Firmware, Validation, and Field Application teams, and involves travel up to 5%.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in power electronics or hardware design
- Proficient with Altium Designer, SPICE, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and EMI/EMC troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of PCB layout practices for power electronics and EMC
- Design of inverters and power converters
- Motor drive control techniques (PMAC, AC induction, IPM)
- Analog and digital circuit design (low-voltage systems)
- EMC design at PCB and system level
- Reliability engineering fundamentals
- Functional safety (advantageous)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and lead technical decisions
- Continuous learning attitude
- Travel Up to 5% Domestic and International may be required
- Advanced English communication skills, both spoken and written
