Job Summary
Hardware Engineer II responsible for designing digital hardware circuits and integrating embedded processors, switch ASICs, and high-speed interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO) on Linux-based embedded hardware. Responsibilities include schematic capture, guiding PCB layout for signal and power integrity, board bring-up and debugging, and collaborating with software/FPGA/manufacturing teams to ensure hardware-software integration across product lifecycles. Requires BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 3–6 years of digital hardware design experience, with emphasis on board-level debugging and experience with network switching hardware or complex embedded systems.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to six years of digital hardware design experience
- Experience integrating embedded processors or switch ASICs
- Strong understanding of high-speed digital design principles
- Ability to read schematics, guide PCB layout, and debug hardware at the board level
- Experience with SERDES, high speed interfaces, or multi gigabit signaling
