Job Summary
Design and develop electromechanical switchgear and control gear accessories from feasibility to serial production readiness, adhering to international standards and internal procedures. Contribute to technical investigations and feasibility studies for future products, establishing, analyzing, and selecting new product concepts. Plan and execute development tests with the local test team, create technical documentation, and support industrialization with production equipment. Identify and evaluate new technologies, perform benchmarking activities on competitor products, and take ownership of complete products or sub-assemblies while managing interfaces to other systems. Work in an international environment within global development teams, reporting to a local engineering manager.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in mechanical design, or equivalent
- Several years of experience in the development of mechanical products (plastic and metal parts)
- Fluent in writing and speaking in either German or English (both preferred)
- High level of resiliency
- Good communication skills across all levels
- Ability to take job relevant decisions in time
- Comfortable working in an international team environment with people from different cultures, languages and locations
- Experience working in international teams (also remote)
- Familiarity with international product standards such as UL, IEC, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled in CAD and PLM Systems (CREO and Windchill are advantageous)
- Experience in the development of mechanical products (plastic and metal parts)
- Fluent in writing and speaking in either German or English (both preferred)
- Cultural awareness/sensitivity in dealings across regions/geographies
- Sicherer Umgang mit CAD- und PLM Systemen (CREO und Windchill von Vorteil)
- Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (beide Sprachen bevorzugt)
- Interkulturelle Kompetenz und Sensibilität im Umgang mit Menschen aus verschiedenen Regionen und Ländern
- Erfahrung in der internationalen Teamarbeit (auch remote)
