Job Summary
Hardware Design Engineer sought to design and develop hardware architecture for automated equipment and integrated systems in Fameccanica North America’s Boston Hub. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining electrical schematics, control panels, wiring diagrams, and system layouts; collaborating with mechanical design, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure system performance and integration; and supporting prototyping, builds, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development lifecycle. The role emphasizes building scalable, reliable hardware solutions aligned with project requirements and customer needs. Ideal candidates bring 5-10 years of experience in hardware/electrical/controls design, proficiency with EPlan or AutoCAD Electrical, strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety practices, and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving engineering environment. Experience supporting equipment build, debug, and validation is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
