Job Summary

Hardware Design Engineer responsible for end-to-end development of high-speed networking hardware and Ethernet products. Responsibilities include authoring functional specifications for high power/density Ethernet switches, selecting and qualifying components, schematic capture and design verification, coordinating PCB layout with eCAD teams, running signal integrity and power integrity simulations on power and datapath signals, collaborating with mechanical/thermal engineers on system realization, specifying PCB stackup and fabrication details, developing programmable logic devices for control and timing, working with contract manufacturers from prototype to production, lab bring-up and debugging prototypes, and driving cross-functional design validation and manufacturing test. Requires a BSEE or MSEE and 2+ years of hardware engineering experience; FPGA design and timing, lab equipment proficiency, and knowledge of SI/PI concepts are important; some Python or coding experience is a plus. Location: Nashua, NH (on-site).

Required Qualifications

  • BSEE or MSEE
  • 2+ years of hardware engineering experience
  • Familiarity with circuit design and debug
  • Experience with lab debug and test equipment
  • Experience learning complex design tools
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity concepts
  • FPGA design and system simulation a plus
  • Some Python or other coding experience is a plus
