Job Summary
Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software issues, while installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems. Inspect devices for cosmetic and functional defects, document findings, and disassemble components to replace parts such as motherboards and keyboards. Clean mechanical parts to ensure equipment reliability and maintain accurate repair documentation in ticketing systems. Organize the work environment, communicate with leadership on inventory, and stay current with quality standards and SLAs. Full-time, in-person role at Virtucom's West Palm Beach facility supporting K–12 schools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in computer repair (professional or DIY experience considered)
- Strong understanding of PC architecture and operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS)
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to operate hand trucks and pallet jacks
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in team
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow instructions
- Commitment to meeting or exceeding repair output expectations and SLAs
- Must be available for Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Must be available for in-person work at Virtucom's West Palm Beach facility
- Must be prepared to undergo and pass a comprehensive background check
Desired Qualifications
