Job Summary
Kit helicoils for jobs, install helicoils, cut gaskets, mask dowel pins, and install captive screws and Lee plugs on repeat or proven parts across aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper. Operate pneumatic or electric power finishing tools including orbital sanders, DA sanders, flappers, and die grinders. Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts to achieve required surface finishes such as lay patterns and sealing surfaces. Ensure company procedures and best machine practices are followed. Install helicoils and dowel pins into parks and subassemblies using blueprints and shop routers to determine size, quantity, and location. Polish sealing surfaces and O-rings to achieve desired finishes on post-anodize parts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School
- Must be reliable and have excellent attendance
Desired Qualifications
- 4-6 years' related experience preferred
- Enrolled in vocational education for machine technology or practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T preferred
