Job Summary

Define hardware architecture and system partitioning for embedded RFID and access control platforms, balancing technical requirements with manufacturability and cost. Design analog and digital front-ends for RFID, NFC, and communication interfaces while ensuring signal integrity and EMC/EMI compliance. Develop hardware concepts supporting secure elements, trusted execution environments, and cryptographic accelerators. Collaborate with Firmware, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and global suppliers to drive component selection and manage obsolescence. Shape sustainable product lifecycles and influence the technological direction of the portfolio. Work in a structured, analytical environment with up to 40% remote flexibility, regularly present at headquarters in Puchheim.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of hands-on experience in the design and architecture of embedded hardware systems
  • Strong expertise in microcontroller-based systems and experience specifying MCUs and secure elements
  • In-depth knowledge of HW architecture, power management, EMC/EMI, and signal integrity
  • Fluency in English
  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to balance technical requirements to develop sustainable hardware architectures
  • Up to 40% remote work capability with regular presence at headquarters in Puchheim

  • Experience defining requirements for PCB layout, power management, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI-compliant hardware design
  • Experience developing hardware concepts that support modern cybersecurity requirements such as secure elements, trusted execution environments, and hardware cryptographic accelerators
