Job Summary
Hardware and Systems Test Engineer responsible for hardware and system-level testing of critical aviation and ATCALS hardware. Develop and execute test plans, validate requirements in lab/field/operational environments, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of physical components, investigate anomalies and conduct failure analyses, and collaborate with government test organizations to document results and validate improvements. Requires experience with environmental, durability, reliability, or endurance testing, NDI/NDT methods, and familiarity with avionics/ATCALS hardware; requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and a Secret clearance. Compensation range listed is $86,800 to $198,000 (annualized).
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience performing hardware, system, or component-level testing
- Experience developing and executing hardware or system-level test plans, procedures, and reports
- Experience validating engineering requirements in lab, field, or operationally representative environments
- Experience with instrumentation, diagnostics, or troubleshooting physical components
- Experience supporting developmental or operational testing
- Ability to assess system behavior, identify risks, and communicate technical findings clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
