Hard Line Merchandising Specialist

Job Summary
Sort and grade hard goods donations according to quality guidelines, research merchandise value using pricing guides or resell platforms, and process items from the backroom to the sales floor. Unload donations from donor vehicles using the donation tablet, assist with loading and unloading equipment, and perform housekeeping duties across assigned areas. Monitor merchandise levels on the sales floor to increase production, assist with product rotation and sales floor recovery, and greet customers to answer basic questions about store operations. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, and perform necessary janitorial work while adhering to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact well with individuals with diverse personalities and communication styles
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Retail sales experience
