Job Summary
Sort donations, box, and label hangers by type while maintaining the processing area in a clean and orderly fashion. Hang garments to meet prescribed production levels and place merchandise on racks according to merchandising policies. Rotate stock on a timely basis to bring items to the sales floor and assist in textile color rotation. Direct customers, provide general information, and monitor for shoplifting by notifying management of suspicious activity. Refer customer complaints to management and respond calmly to emergency situations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to adhere to the organization's Core Principles
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling
- Ability to react calmly and respond to emergency situations
- Ability to listen and follow directions
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Knowledge of textile articles as related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc)
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers
