Job Summary
Hangar Mechanic – Hawaii responsible for onsite aircraft maintenance including inspection and repair of aircraft parts, coordinating parts/shipping, and maintaining maintenance documentation in compliance with FAA Part 135. Role includes inventory management, planning and scheduling maintenance, upkeep of the base library and LFN-owned ground support equipment, and travel to service areas with occasional overnight stays. Requires three years of Airframe and Powerplant experience, A&P Certification, and strong knowledge of FAR 135; preferred Inspection Authorization and experience with turbine rotorcraft (PC12, EC135, H145). Proficient in Microsoft Office; must pass background and pre-employment DOT drug test; ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends; strong customer service and communication skills; ability to travel as needed and maintain safe, compliant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of two years of Aviation Science trade or vocational school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years as Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic required
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
- Inspection Authorization Certification preferred
- Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug test
- Ability to travel to LFN operated bases; valid Driver’s license and automobile in good repair; proof of auto insurance
