Job Summary
Ensure all guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior surfaces remain well-maintained and aligned with brand standards through routine repairs, touch-ups, and repainting. Maintain and repair wall finishes including plastering and drywall patching while responding promptly to defects and guest requests. Coordinate work schedules via the Work Request System, complete assigned opening and closing duties, and maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Collaborate with the maintenance team, attend meetings, and assist other departments as directed. This role requires rotating shifts and weekends. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Painter or Handyperson in general maintenance or a similar
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a guest-focused approach to service
- Ability to follow safety procedures and WH&S guidelines
- Comfortable using maintenance systems and logging work accurately
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to requests across the hotel
- Flexible availability, including rotating shifts and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic repair techniques across carpentry and plumbing (advantageous)
