Job Summary
Coordinate and complete all requested residential maintenance, repair, and renovation work, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical tasks. Efficiently manage incoming service requests, assign priorities, and track time while logging activities for each job. Repair walkways and exteriors, perform routine maintenance on building systems, and complete projects as needed. Collaborate with the Property Manager/ Superintendent to coordinate tasks and work closely with tenants to schedule access for repairs. Maintain on-call rotations to respond to tenant requests and issues, with compensation provided for travel.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience with a successful track record as maintenance tech/handyperson
- Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance
- Able to handle a wide variety of repairs (including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Good at troubleshooting and problem solving
- Good communication skills to communicate with tenants and other staff effectively
- Good at using e-mail, text messages, and apps for business purposes
- Has a reliable vehicle to travel around to property locations (where applicable)
- On-call rotations with the Superintendent to respond to tenant requests and issues, with compensation provided for travel to the property
