Job Summary
Pack hash brown patties into containers, inspect for visible blemishes and foreign material, and ensure product quality meets specifications. Make up cases if the Wexar system is down, verify proper product counts, and confirm legible codes on containers. Monitor line operations, assist with tray maker adjustments, and fold stickers as needed. Maintain sanitation by sweeping, shoveling, and cleaning the work area, while reporting finished product changes, excessive waste, or safety hazards to the supervisor. Train new personnel and rework damaged cases or bags of product as required.
Required Qualifications
- Have the ability and willingness to follow instructions
- Must be able to perform trim line duties
- Sanitation qualified required
- Lock-out/tag-out qualified required
- Must be able to perform cold inspection duties at any given moment
- Must have good work performance
- Be physically able to perform the work
- Must be conscientious and consistent in his/her work
- Be knowledgeable of proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques
- Possess a working knowledge of how the equipment works
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
- The proper use of Lockouts, safety procedures, and constant awareness of safety
- Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being done
- Tools such as shovels, squeegees, brooms, and scrub brushes will be used
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Close vision
