Job Summary
Hand Therapist - Part-Time at OrthoVirginia in Ashburn, VA. Provide evaluation and treatment for the hand and upper extremity in a general orthopedic setting, including post-operative rehabilitation, non-operative/conservative care, and coordination with physicians and therapy staff. Develop and implement plans of care, educate patients on therapeutic exercises, and guide patients through post-surgical protocols. Maintain patient records, communicate goals and progress, and participate in interdisciplinary teamwork. Qualifications include a degree in PT/OT, licensure, and Certified Hand Therapist designation (or drive to obtain).
Required Qualifications
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
- Current Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy License
- Certified Hand Therapist designation or drive to become a CHT
- Ability to provide instructions clearly with close attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to collaborate with other patient care team members
- CPR certification
