Job Summary
Hand Therapist in a general orthopedic setting performing evaluations and treatment for the hand and upper extremity, including post-operative rehabilitation and non-operative care, collaborating with physicians and patient care teams to develop and execute Plan of Care, directing patient participation in therapeutic exercise programs, making customized splints, coordinating with Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapist Assistants, and therapy technicians, scheduling for productive time utilization, and maintaining documentation of goals and progress; opportunities include a new graduate mentoring program and an APTA-accredited residency, with CEU reimbursement, Medbridge membership, health/dental insurance with HSA options, and 401k. Multiple locations in Virginia (Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Southwest Virginia, Hampton Roads) with a focus on comprehensive orthopedic and hand therapy services.
Required Qualifications
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
- Current Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy License
- Certified Hand Therapist designation or drive to become a CHT
- INDTHP1 (e-Verify) participation
