Job Summary
Conduct detailed evaluations of patients to diagnose movement dysfunction and develop individualized treatment plans following physician referrals. Deliver focused therapy for hand and upper-extremity conditions by instructing patients in therapeutic exercises, guiding post-surgical protocols, and making customized splints as ordered. Collaborate closely with physicians, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, and therapy technicians to coordinate care, schedule patients effectively, and maintain accurate documentation of goals and progress. Communicate expectations and achievement of patient goals while interpreting diagnostic study results to establish realistic short-term and long-term outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy from an accredited school
- Current Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy License
- Certified Hand Therapist designation or drive to become a CHT
- Current CPR certification
