Job Summary
Hand Surgeon sought to provide comprehensive evaluations, surgical and non-surgical treatments, and follow-up care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and peripheral upper extremity nerve structures. Responsibilities include managing outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, emergency call coverage, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team. Procedures range from fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repairs, arthroplasty, reconstructive and microvascular surgeries, to arthroscopy, with non-operative management when appropriate. Must participate in shared hand/upper-extremity emergency call rotations and coordinate with orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, primary care physicians, occupational/hand therapists, radiologists, and hospital staff.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship.
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Plastic Surgery.
- Active state medical license (or ability to obtain).
- Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Hand Surgery (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current DEA & CDS registration.
